MINISTRIES

Sunday morning is just the start.

We believe gathering on Sunday mornings is just the start of what community should look like. We have opportunities for you to build relationships, find a small group, take classes, serve the neighborhood, and more.

KIDS MINISTRY

Bring the whole family

We offer Children’s Ministry during our sermon portion of the service. If you would like to keep your children with you in the service, that is completely fine!

Our goals for Trinity Grace Kids are simple:

  • Offer fun, interactive, and safe places for kids to play and learn. We follow strict safety protocols and all teachers & helpers are trained and qualified through Ministry Safe.
  • Read and teach them from the Bible.
  • Help them understand how all of the Bible is about Jesus, by using the Gospel Story Curriculum.

Currently, TG Kids is divided into “Crawlers” (birth to 2 years of age) a safe environment for young ones to play, “Walkers’ (Preshcool 3 – 5) where kids play and learn, and “Learners” (Kindergarten – Second Grade)
led by a trained teacher who instructs the children in a gospel-centered lesson from the Gospel Story Curriculum.

SMALL GROUPS

Build relationships by joining a Community Group

Small groups—or, as we call them—Community Groups are the “heart and soul” of our church. They are where the church becomes smaller. These small, intimate groups are where true, lasting relationships form. These Community Groups meet twice a month for prayer, encouragement, & relationship-building. We encourage members and those pursuing membership to find a Community Group to join.

YOUTH MINISTRY

For your teens

We want our Youth Ministry rooted in the Bible. But there is no chapter and verse on youth ministry! However we have a few biblical principles that shape our approach. Christ-focused (1 Corinthians 15:2-4), Parent-partnered (Deuteronomy 6:4-7), and Church-connected (Ephesians 4:1-17).

Trinity Grace Youth exists to build youth into Christ, their parents, and the local church. To that end, we have a monthly meeting with games, testimonies, teaching, and fellowship, where youth (6th – 12th grade) and their parents are welcome to attend. We also have a monthly meeting for just high schoolers and a monthly hangout for youth and parents (think bonfires, scavenger hunts, and lake days).

DISCIPLESHIP

Classes and training to help you grow

Our Sunday morning classes are a great way to cover important, topical issues that aren’t typically addressed in a sermon. How should we think about technology, politics, prayer, anxiety, and raising children? These classes aim to help us think and live biblically and bring glory to Christ in every aspect of our lives. Classes begin at 9:15 AM.

SERVE

Setup Team

Each week, we meet at the Athens McMinn YMCA. And it takes an army of people to setup and tear down, creating a space that is conducive for a Sunday meeting. While it does require some physical stamina, people of all ages work together to help place chairs, setup the children’s ministry area, and prepare the audio and visual equipment. It’s a great initial step in getting plugged into the life of the church.
