WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW…
Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 19:14
We take this charge seriously! We are committed to teaching the truth of scripture in fun, interactive, and safe ways. We want to see our children grow to both know and love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Our Goals
Offer fun, interactive, and safe places for kids to play and learn.
Read and teach them from the Bible and help them understand how all of the Bible is about Jesus.
Equip kids to be worshippers of Christ with the body of Christ.
About Classes

This is a comfortable, safe environment for them to learn and play. It is located directly behind the check-in table in the child watch room of the YMCA
Walkers Ages 3 - 5
This is an exciting, safe environment for them to learn, play, and move. It is located down the hall from the check-in table on the left.
Learners Ages K - 2nd Grade
This class is led by a trained teacher who instructs the children in a gospel-centered lesson from the Gospel Story Curriculum.
Checkin in & out
Head to the check-in table and a TGKids volunteer will help you sign in your children at the kiosk.
You will receive two stickers. Place the sticker with your child’s name on his/her clothing. Keep the other sticker with you.
Your children will stay with you in the service until a break after announcements. Escort your children to their classrooms at this time.
After the service, pick up your children at their classroom doors by presenting the sticker that corresponds to their names.
Curriculum
TGKids uses a curriculum called Gospel Story Curriculum. This curriculum goes through the entire Bible and helps children understand how all of the Bible is about Jesus. The lessons are engaging, interactive, and easy to understand. Each class covers the same lesson each week. Check out the board each week to see what your child is learning about!
Crawler’s and Walker’s Class
From the introduction: “The Beginner’s Gospel Story Bible traces God’s perfect promises through the stories of the Old and New Testaments. In every story, one key truth to remember is highlighted in bold letters. Each story also ends with a question you can use to further reinforce this truth with your child. Colorful illustrations add fun teaching elements of counting, opposites, patterns, and object recognition.”
Learner’s Class
From the introduction: “In The Gospel Story Bible, we’ve set out to preserve theological details by ending each story with a short commentary, designed to connect events in the story to God's larger redemptive plan. Old Testament stories point forward to Jesus. New Testament stories point to the cross. The goal is to thread each of the 156 Bible stories like beads on the silk threads of the gospel, creating one picture with them all.”
Safety
All teachers and helpers are trained and qualified through a child safety system called Ministry Safe.
There are at least two adults and additional helpers in each classroom.
With your permission, restroom breaks and diaper changes are handled by a classroom teacher/helper. If you’d prefer to be contacted for such needs, we’d be happy to do so.
Children are not allowed to leave the classroom until their parent or guardian arrives with the security sticker that matches the code on your child’s sticker.
Sick Children
Sick children may NOT attend TGKids Ministry if he/she shows signs of illnesses, such as: diarrhea, fever, head lice, vomiting, and/or runny nose that has thick yellow-greenish discharge. Use discretion!
All prescription medications must be prescribed by a doctor specifically for a child and administered by designated staff. Please consult the TGKids Leader and Assistant if you need assistance or have questions.
Fire/Sever Weather/Active Threat
Please note that the children will not be released to parents or their guardian until instructed to do so by Trinity Grace Staff or Leadership. This is to make sure all our children are safe and accounted for until the ‘all clear’ is given by Trinity Grace Staff or Leadership.
