What to Expect on Sundays
Here's what a typical Sunday morning looks like in 5 steps.
Arrive
Our services start at 10:30 AM in the gymnasium of the Athens McMinn YMCA (205 Knoxville Ave in Athens, TN). Dress up or dress casual, you are more than welcome either way! There is parking immediately around the Y or across the road. After parking, enter through the double doors and someone from our Welcome Team will direct you to the gym where we gather.
Have Kids?
We look forward to meeting you and your family! Our kid’s ministry (TGKids) offers a nursery and classes for children through 3rd grade. Our TGKids Leaders will be stationed at a table before entering the gym and will be happy to walk you through the process of dropping off your kids just before the sermon (but you’re welcome to keep them with you the whole time). In order to ensure the highest level of safety for our children, we run background checks on all children’s ministry workers and utilize an electronic check-in/check-out system.
Singing
At Trinity Grace Church, we love to exalt Christ together by singing songs rich with biblical truths about the God who pursues us with His grace. In singing, we both worship our great God and remind one another of the truths our lives are built upon in Jesus Christ (Colossians 3:16).
Bible Teaching
We believe that the preaching of God’s Word is the high point of our Sunday service and is intended for our growth and joy in everyday life. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and every part of it points us toward a living hope in Jesus. Each week, you will hear gospel-centered, expositional teaching from the Bible that’s applicable for everyday life.
Welcome Center
Getting to know people, building friendships, and finding a way to get plugged in can be a bit intimidating. We understand. But we hope that you’ll find the folks at Trinity Grace Church eager to welcome you. Start by coming on a Sunday morning. Then, consider plugging into our Starting Point Community Group designed for guests to meet church leaders in an unhurried context. Finally, enjoy meeting others at church wide events, Sunday classes, and assisting in our Sunday setup.
