One of the devil’s most successful lies for getting us to set down the Bible is, you could never understand the Bible or even if you could understand the Bible, it wouldn’t matter.

Yet, the Lord promises to meet us & transform us through the Bible.

2 Timothy 2:7 puts it wonderfully, Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.

What a promise! As you read & think, the Lord will meet you & give you understanding. He will incline your heart to him (Psalm 119:36). He will open your eyes to behold wonderful things in his Word (Psalm 119:18).

You CAN read the Bible in 2020.

Why? Because of your intellect or discipline or willpower. No…because the Lord promises to meet you every time you open his Word!
