We are so thankful to be a church in Athens. We are humbled to be a part of what God is doing in this city. And so, we want to do our part to help others here. We want to make the problems of Athens our own.
In February, the program Let’s Read 20 lost their building due to a fire. This meant the loss of thousands of books to be given out freely to people in Athens.
We have an opportunity to help them.
Pastor Walt is a part of this year’s Leadership McMinn, a leadership course with the City of Athens Chamber of Commerce.
The class project this year is to help collect new & gently used books & donations for Let’s Read 20.
Here’s how you can help:
Drop off new & gently used books at Pastor Walt’s office (219 E. Madison Ave.) any time Wednesday (6/2) thru Friday (6/4) of next week.
Donate to the following GoFundMe page.
All the donations will conclude at MooFest on Saturday, June 5.
In addition to accepting book donations that day, Leadership McMinn will have a dunking booth for you to dunk your favorite state & local leader!
We hope you can join us in helping Let’s Read 20!
