SERMON RECAP
MAIN POINT: Watch out, it is so easy for a little folly to wreck wisdom’s blessing.
A little sin can destroy much good (9:13-18).
A little folly can outweigh much honor (10:1-4).
A little error can create much trouble (10:5-7).
A little misstep can ruin much work (10:8-11).
A little word can reveal much madness (10:12-15).
A little king can cause much destruction (10:16-20).
And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
we will not fear, for God has willed his truth to triumph through us.
The prince of darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
his rage we can endure, for lo! his doom is sure;
one little word shall fell him.
“A Mighty Fortress Is Our God”, Martin Luther

TGKIDS RECAP
Bible Story: The Golden Calf
Scripture: Exodus 32
Bible Truth: Where sin is great, God’s grace is greater.
Where is Jesus: Hebrews 8:5–13
Though there are many significant differences between Moses (he was a sinner) and Jesus (he was sinless), there are similarities as well. Moses and Jesus were both mediators between God and man. Just as Moses pleaded with God not to destroy the Israelites when they worshiped the golden calf, Jesus asked his father to have mercy on those who crucified him (Luke 23:34).
